Anchovy
When it comes to looks the anchovy is similar to the herring and sardine, it’s part of a large family of fish of over 140 subspecies which can be found all over the world. You can recognize it by its small body, protruding head, big eyes and the red-greyish colour of its fish meat. Not sure if you’re looking at a herring, sardine or anchovy? Then there’s no other solution than to taste it: herrings and sardines taste a bit milder than the anchovy.
