Pasta Pistou with Sardines
Delicious, simple, and nutritious; that's this pasta pistou with sardines.

Also delicious with our sardines in tomato sauce, or sardines with lemon!
Place the basil, garlic, and olive oil in a measuring cup and blend with an immersion blender (or a mortar and pestle) until fine, then add the grated cheese and mix again until the cheese is well combined. Season with black pepper.
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packaging. While draining the pasta, save 2 tablespoons of the water and mix it into the pistou. Combine the pistou with the pasta.
Divide the spaghetti onto 2 plates, and top with the sardines.
Garnish with pine nuts and basil.
