Win a trip to Alask!
Rugged coastlines. Small fishing boats. Mountains, bears, and endless wilderness. Here, deep in southwest Alaska, we work with fisherman Tony Neal and his family—wild sockeye salmon fishermen for generations. Read on, meet the Neal family, and discover how you could win an adventure to wild Alaska!

In Alaska, nature decides when fishing can begin. The season only opens once enough salmon have returned to the rivers. This ensures that no more fish are caught than the ocean can sustain.
During the fishing season, everyone lives together in so-called fish camps—small camps along the shoreline where families come together to fish, cook, share stories, and pass traditions on to the next generation.
And once the signal is given, everyone must be ready. Nature sets the pace. When they get the go-ahead, the boats head out and the real work begins.

Tony Neal knows this coastline better than anyone. Together with his wife Gwen, he started fishing for wild salmon in Coffee Point, Alaska, decades ago. Today, the entire family is involved—from children to grandchildren.
Working from small fishing boats, they carefully remove wild sockeye salmon from the nets by hand, one fish at a time. Between fishing trips, there's cooking, repairing gear, sharing meals, and above all, sharing stories.
For Tony and his family, it's about much more than simply making a living. It's a way of life that has been passed down for generations—and one they hope will continue for generations to come.
