Sardines for frying

Ingredients

  • 500 g baby potatoes
  • 2 cans of sardines au beurre* of 120 g (if you can't find them, use olive oil.
  • 100 g butter
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp white wine vinegar
  • a few twigs of flat peterseli
  • sunflower oil
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple or cider vinegar
  • salt
  • white pepper
  • 1 head of lettuce
  • chives, cut

How to prepare

This delicious main course with sardines, baby potatoes and shallots. Tasty and healthy!

 

Preparation

  • 1 Bring water with plenty of salt to a boil in a pan. Boil the potatoes until done (also delicious: steam the potatoes until done).
  • 2 Heat the cans briefly under the hot tap so that the butter melts.
  • 3 On low heat, melt the butter in a frying pan.
  • 4 Stew the shallots in the butter for a few minutes.
  • 5 Open the cans of sardines and pour the butter into the frying pan.
  • 6 Remove the frying pan from the heat, add the vinegar and parsley and pour the butter into a bowl.
  • 7 Use a fork to salad the sunflower oil, mustard, mayonnaise and vinegar into a dressing. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • 8 Cut the heart out of the head of lettuce, pull the leaves loose and mix them in a bowl with the dressing.
  • 9 Garnish the potatoes with chives.
  • 10 Put the sardines, the bowl of butter, the salad and the baby potatoes on the table.
