Sardine tartar with tomato carpaccio

  • 2 tins of sardines in 120 g olive oil, drained
  • 2 tbsp salted capers, finely chopped and desalinated in water
  • 3 tbsp sun-dried tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 2 red vine tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 orange tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 yellow tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 green tomatoes, sliced
  • 50 g soft goat's cheese
  • olive oil
  • White pepper from the mill
  • salt

How to prepare

Canned sardines and tomatoes in the house? Then make this easy and delicious appetizer.


  • 1 Fork the sardines and mix them with the capers, sun-dried tomatoes, olives and some finely chopped basil leaves to tartar.
  • 2 Arrange the sardine altar with a ring in the centre of a large plate.
  • 3 Place the tomato slices around the tartar.
  • 4 Divide the goat's cheese and some basil over the tomatoes.
  • 5 Pour some olive oil over the tomatoes.
  • 6 Season to taste with white pepper and sea salt.
