Ingredients

  • 550 g cod filet
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 egg
  • 200 ml beer
  • 2 tl paprika powder
  • peanut oil
  • 1 lemon, in parts
  • salt

How to prepare

Don’t we all just love fried fish? These fish nuggets are delicious as lunch or appetizer. The home made tartar sauce is definitely worth the effort. Try it yourself!

Preparation

  • 1 Mix the flour, egg, beer, 1 teaspoon of paprika powder and a pinch of salt to a smooth batter.
  • 2 Heat the oil to 180 degrees Celsius in a deep pan, or use a fryer. Make sure the oil is hot enough with a kitchen thermometer or by frying some batter. If the batter floats to the surface, the oil is hot enough.
  • 3 Dip the cod into the batter and drop one at a time into hot oil. Fry the fish until both sides are crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • 4 Sprinkle with paprika powder. Serve your nuggets with lemon parts and home made tartar sauce!
