Smoked Atlantic Salmon
Our smoked Norwegian salmon is proof that even farmed fish can have a great taste. Due to the different living conditions, the structure of farmed fish meat is slightly different from wild fish, but the taste is as good. The farmed salmon contains as many omega-3 fatty acids as its wild family members and is very aromatic. Delicious in a salad or on your sandwich.

Welcome to salmon farm Edelfarm! In the Skjerstadfjord, high up north in Norway, strong streams create a unique supply of clean, ice-cold seawater. Subsequently making the ideal environment to grow salmon naturally.
Fish with a story
The salmon Edelfarm is a true family business. Alice is one of the driving forces and finds it important to integrate the environment into the farm. Alice: ‘We find it important that the local community is aware of what we’re doing because it’s their environment too. And this makes them very involved.’
Breeding method
On Edelfarm they farm Atlantic salmon in large copperfree cages in sea. These cages are filled with water for 97% and just 3% with fish. Giving the salmon all the room to grow.
