Norwegian Dill smoked Salmon

Our dill smoked Norwegian salmon is proof that even farmed fish can have a great taste. Due to the different living conditions, the structure of farmed fish meat is slightly different from wild fish, but the taste is as good. The farmed salmon contains as many omega-3 fatty acids as its wild family members and is very aromatic. Delicious in a salad or on your sandwich.

Fish with a story

The salmon Edelfarm is a true family business. Alice is one of the driving forces and finds it important to integrate the environment into the farm. Alice: ‘We find it important that the local community is aware of what we’re doing because it’s their environment too. And this makes them very involved.’

The food given to the salmon is filled with natural vitamins. This gives the fish a strong immune system and making medicine unnecessary. A local doctor drops by every month to check the salmon. After the slaughter the cages remain empty for a while, giving nature a bit of rest. Just like organic agriculture really.
