Fast and spicy tuna toastie

FAST AND SPICY TUNA TOASTIE

Toasted bread, perfeclty melted and if you are lucky you will have a piece of crispy cheese that will sneak out during baking. Yes, it’s time for a tuna toastie with cheddar and sambal!

    Add 300 ml white wine vinegar and three tablespoons of sugar tot the pan. Heat it until the sugar has dissolved.

    Slice the cucumber in half and scoop out the seads.

    Switch the fire off and cool the sugar down.

    Peel the cucumber with a speed peeler in thinly slices and add the cucumber to the cold dried sugar.

    Use 200 grams of tuna, fresh or canned. If you use fresh tuna, cut i tinto small pices.

    Add 2-3 teaspoons of sambal and slice a half red onion in shredded pieces. Add the tuna tot he bowl.

    Give it a bit of scallion and add some salt for more flavor.

    Last but not least add some lime juice , cilantro leaves, a few drops of olive oil and give it a mix.

    Top the bread off with the tuna, add the cheddar cheese slices and put the other slice of bread on top. Toast the toastie in a pan for about 6-8 minutes or with an iron toast.

    Plate the tuna toastie up and add the cucumber to finish the dish.

  • - 1 cucumber, in slices

  • - 300 ml white wine vinegar

  • - 3 tablespoons of sugar

  • - 200 gr fresh tuna or canned

  • - 2 till 3 teaspoons sambal

  • - 1/2 red onion, shredded

  • - 1/2 scallion, in rings

  • - 1 lime, the juice

  • - 3 sproutes cilantro

  • - a few drops olive oil

  • - 4 slices of white bread

  • - 4 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 20 minutes
