Basic tuna pasta


Pasta with tinned tuna. Ideal for during the week days – in a rush, or on a budget. For only 2.75 euro, 2.50 pounds or 3 US dollars per portion, this basic tuna pasta makes for a great meal! So simple but so delicious. Enjoy!

    Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a frying pan and fry the onion and garlic on medium high heat. Add the dried chilli flakes and fry for 3 minutes.

    Blend the peeled tomatoes with a blender and add this to the frying pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 7-8 minutes.

    While the sauce is simmering, prepare the pasta in a big pot with salted boiling water according to the packet instructions.

    Add 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar and the drained tuna to the sauce and mix well. Season the sauce with salt and fresh basil.

    Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Give it a toss and mix well.

    Serve the pasta with extra basil leaves end enjoy your tuna pasta!
