How to prepare

It’s time for a French classic! Fried trout with almonds and brown butter.. so simple, yet so delicious. You really will taste the amazing flavors of the fish with this recipe.

Preparation

  • 1 Take a plate or tray and cover with some flower, roll the trout through the flower until both sides are covered. Now sprinkle both sides of the fish with some salt and white pepper.
  • 2 Put a pan on high heat and add a bit of vegetable oil. Shake off the excess flower and place the trout in the pan.
  • 3 Pan fry the first side of the fish for 4-5 minutes until golden brown, when you have flipped the fish over you can add the butter and reduce the heat tot medium.
  • 4 Keep scooping the melted butter over the fish and make sure it doesn’t burn.
  • 5 Take your fish out of the pan and put it on a plate. Now add your almonds with some sea salt and a couple drops of lemon juice to your pan with melted butter and pan fry them until they are nicely caramelized.
  • 6 Take your pan of the heat and scoop over the almonds over your trout. Chop up some parsley and add to your last bit of almonds and butter left in the pan. Serve you trout with a slice of lemon and the last scoop of almonds and parsley. Enjoy!
