
Smashed Harissa sardines on bread with lemon yoghurt dip
Spicy, creamy, and fresh - all in one bite. These smashed sardines are served on crispy bread with a refreshing dip. Ready in 10 minutes.
Place the red onion in the juice of 1 lime and set aside.
Mix the Greek yoghurt with the juice and zest of the remaining lime, parsley, garlic, and some salt and pepper. Set aside (or chill in the fridge).
Remove the sardines from the can and place them on a plate or in a small bowl. Add the harissa oil. Roughly mash with a fork—don’t overdo it, some chunks of fish should remain visible.
Toast your bread briefly in a dry pan or toaster until nicely crispy.
Spread some of the yoghurt dip on the bread. Scoop the smashed sardines on top. Finish with some pickled red onion, parsley, and freshly ground pepper. Enjoy!
