Tuna spaghetti with capers and olives

Ingredients

  • 1 dash of olive oil
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 2 peppers, seeded and cut into small pieces
  • 3 cans of tuna in olive oil, cut with a fork
  • 1 tin (400 g) of strained tomatoes
  • 2 tsp. capers
  • 4 tablespoons black olives without stones, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • salt and black pepper

Preparation

  • 1 Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan. Fry the tomato paste in the oil for 1 minute.
  • 2 Add the peppers and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.
  • 3 Add the tuna and mix with the paprika.
  • 4 Add strained tomatoes, capers, olives and bay leaf and mix everything together.
  • 5 Simmer the sauce at low heat.
  • 6 Bring water to a boil in a pot and add salt.
  • 7 Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the packet until firm to the bite. Drain the spaghetti and add to the sauce. Mix everything well.
  • 8 Season with pepper.
  • 9 Sprinkle with grated parmesan and serve.
