4 geräucherte Makrelenfilets oder 4 Dosen geräucherte Makrelenfilets (72 g Abtropfgewicht)
5 EL Mayonnaise
2 Zwiebeln, geschnitten
1 Granny Smith-Apfel, in kleine Würfel geschnitten
1 TL Dijon-Senf
10 Halme Schnittlauch, fein geschnitten
1 Frühlingszwiebel, grob geschnitten
1 EL Kapern
Raspel und Saft von 1/3 Zitrone
1 rote Zwiebel, in dünne Ringe geschnitten
Dünne Scheiben Toast
10 Blätter Basilikum
Frisch gemahlener Pfeffer
Wie vorzubereiten
Die Makrele ist ein fetter Fisch und eignet sich deshalb hervorragend zum Räuchern. Für dieses Rezept für einen tollen, frischen Makrelensalat könnt ihr entweder frische Makrele oder geräucherte Makrele aus der Dose verwenden.
Vorbereitungsmethode
1 Die Haut der Makrele entfernen oder die Makrele abtropfen lassen. Die Filets mit den Händen oder mit zwei Gabeln in grobe Stücke zerteilen und dabei gut auf die Gräten achten.
2 Die Makrele mit einer Gabel mit der Mayonnaise, den Zwiebelstücken, dem Granny Smith-Apfel, Senf und Schnittlauch vermischen. Frühlingszwiebeln, Kapern und Zitronensaft hinzufügen und zu einem glatten Aufstrich vermengen. Mit Pfeffer und eventuell Salz abschmecken.
3 Den Makrelensalat auf den Toastscheiben verteilen und mit roten Zwiebelringen, Basilikumblättern, extra Schnittlauch und Zitronenschale garnieren. Guten Appetit!
